Also that round wheel looks very pretty. I bet you can do lots of nice rally driving without having to worry about a flat-bottom D-shaped wheel getting in the way.

Round wheels are great for high wheel rotation motorsports. When the drift team first built the GLTZ it was equipped with a Grip Royal drift wheel. As soon as I slid the car on the track and had to catch the rear end I understood why so many drifters use these wheels. I want to adapt one to my sim rig.

RWA, the debate on the street is that the Alien ones follow the same project of the Sprint but the brake pedal is better.
Yet I'm so curious about the P2000 as they are hydraulic... given I don't feel normal sim load cell pedals are any close to the feel of a real car pedals, I'd prefer trying hydraulic ones.
But, that's a full 900-1000 euro for curiosity.

So, dunno what to do for now.
I may even consider going to the Sim Expo next year to try all of them out (Driving Simulation Center in Italy - a franchising - uses only SRP pedals, but those are even more expensive).

Thanks Brian, those wheels feel very premium... I had fun trying the round one and the leather feels good, althought I'm more at home with GT cars and the FX formula rim.
The roundness definitively helps with some small fun pocket rockets like old Mini Coopers and so on.
I do not think I will need anything else but the pedals: I'm not that interested in an H pattern/sequential shifter (goddamn, I want paddles on my road car as well!) or on an handbrake.

Yet still here waiting for my Trak Racer Rally Seat... damn me and buying stuff under Xmas holidays.

People, I need your honest take, so to ponder on a matter.
Some of you know I race within an ACC community on Discord, there are about 300 members, albeit the ones regularly racing are around 80 or so.
We have races streamed live on Twitch with commentators, stewards are not live but review any complaint after the race issueing penalties and such according to judgment.

Community Seasons are dedicated to GT3 racing, while minor Trophies and Cups happen in between seasons and in the summer when it is hot and many people do not race because of holidays.
Yesterday evening we started a new summer trophy: a BMW M2 TCx spec series. 4 events, two races per event: a sprint one of 20 minutes and a feature one of 40 minutes with mandatory tyre change. Easy peasy.

I'm a team founder along with a guy and just yesterday we were joined by a new guy (best 2 placed of a team score points for it, so no worries if we are 3 or more). New guy is pretty easy going and the three of us hit it off right away.
Each team has a dedicated Discord vocal chat to keep talking with each other members during races and events.

So we start the first race and it goes ok, we are not fast but not last.
End of the first race the three of us are shooting the shit before the beginning of the second race when a guy, from another team, joins in suddenly and starts to question our new guy.
He is edgy and telling that new guy bumped him out of the track and so and so, new guy wonders when it happened and such. Then the "intruder" get out of the vocal chat.

Second race came and went, we did even better. We finished late in the night, around midnight, so few people commented on the text channel dedicated to the trophy.
Today the case exploded with the intruder still attacking our new guy. New guy had watched the replay and said he does not agree he did anything wrong but he will let the Race Directors decide, the intruder has all the rights to fill a complaint for the move.

As a team owner I did not defend my guy, since he is quite capable to do it by himself and if he did anything wrong he should be justly punished.
But I stated, and I extended to everyone, that whatever it is the reason to NOT barge in some other team chat: there's the text chat for later, private messaging to the person involved or complaints to be sent to the race directors - but to stay the fuck away from other team vocals chat.
Also because even if something happens on track I'm not going to barge at someone home demanding attention and seeking revenge.

The intruder guy called me arrogant, told me that the vocal chats inside the community are property of all the community and everyone can go wherever.
I disagree but unfortunately no one of the staff intervened to settle the matter, just one said he would go into a team vocal chat only if he had to apologize to someone.

So... am I too arrogant to think that only each team member should be allowed to stay in vocal chat and it is in poor form to barge in to complain while in the middle of one event, or is fair game and I'm overreacting?
I can simply say it really irked me off, and that you can see that from me calling the guy "intruder" because that was what did feel to me... an intrusion.
I've been even accused to not being respectful because I've said I did not like the intrusion.

Well, that's that.
Let me know your thoughts.
I wish the race direction and the staff would be clear in indicating a path of conduct and manner, but it seems it won't be addressed (so far) which disappoint me.

I agree with you Blerpa, seems rude to go into another teams private chat and start throwing accusations around. Especially when there is a formal protest route.

I also agree with you, and if there isn't already a rule against it, there should be one. Come over politely or not at all.

Yep, lock it with a password if possible, and lodge a protest against the intruder for… erm, intruding. And maybe have the three of you block him until it is settled.

The team chat would be analogous to a pit garage in real racing. To use a garage you typically pay a fee to the track to rent it for the event, which essentially means you have the right to boot someone out. Or call the cops to remove a trespasser.

Stand your ground. On-track incidents shall be dealt with in the correct manner. Poor sportsmanship should not be entertained whatsoever.
