    Yeah, you just have to figure out if the cost of living also doubles. Still, that also sounds like the kind of gig where she would probably get some sort of equity stake and those can be huge.

    Medium price of CA homes just reached $900k, and I’m sure Silicon Valley area will be much much higher than medium… didn’t realize DC is that expensive?!?

    My only word of advice is don’t make your decisions based mostly on money. If this is a dream job that you’re super passionate about, sure, go for it!

    If you’re only tempted by money? Forget about that. I’d certainly not move to NoCal even if my income doubled.
