Funny thing about those 850s. They have low miles because they are a nightmare to diagnose when something goes wrong on them.

I want that Legacy Turbo with every fiber of my body.

    Road trip?

Provided you meet the current owners stringent requirements.

Maybe we could write Phil some letters of recommendation.

I had one, and it was incredibly average in every way. Wouldn't recommend, the nostalgia value isn't worth it.

I figured you were going to say that. But context is important in this case.

    1) Even if it is average I’m betting it is way better than my current car.
    2) I absolutely loved my NA 2.2 auto 1995 Impreza. I had just as much fun driving it as I did my Saleen. Seriously. I think that era of Subarus are the golden age.
    3) Legacy’s like this one barely existed in the states and all the ones in my area have long since evaporated due to salt.

Basically. I’d like to experience one of my halo cars for myself to see how average it is.

That's reason enough right there. IMO, $7K is a perfectly reasonable - even modest - cost for a replacement daily driver, unless it would be in the shop every other week.

1994 Subaru WRX STi - Financing Available! - $17900 (Tampa area but on Denver CL)

    Classic refurbished 1978 Subaru 4wd for Sale! 52K miles - $21500

Anyone know what that other lever does? Did Suburus used to be manually shifted into 4x4?

Edited to add - well, they must have been, at some point. I think I vaguely remember seeing a button to press to engage 4x4 in the '80s or '90s in a Subaru.

    1988 BMW 325IX - $8300

    "Never vaped in!"

    1991 Honda Prelude Si 4ws All serviced records from 91 - $6500

Rare Barn find-1963 chevy Impala Wagon - $10000

    1967 MGB GT - $6000

    1974 Ford Bronco Ranger/ sale pending. - $22000

Dodge Challenger R/T Vanishing Point Replica - $30000

I need to see that movie. I assume it's similar to others of its era (Bullitt, the Dirty Harry series, etc.) and therefore something I would like. I need to see The French Connection, too.

1967 Kaiser Jeep Vietnam Era Ambulance - $5500

    1968 Chevy Van non-window 108 project Classic - $3800

    1986 Porsche 944 Turbo - $9500

    1992 Chevrolet K1500 Extended Cab Pickup - $10900

    1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo - $15000

"Hux/Hybrid Racing RSX custom H-pattern shifter"

I have no clue how this works, but it reminds me of a Hurst/Olds shifter.

Not sure about that shifter myself. It looks like it's adjustable for throw both fore/aft and left/right - which is what each of those 2 cables at the back do. It's altogether strange, and clunky looking. The stock shifter in a 93 was pretty darn good already.

It's also not a real Turbo -it's a swapped NA chassis. It still has the NA cluster so no factory boost gauge, and the tach scale and/or redline is wrong. Still, for the most part it's not that much different of a car. Looks like the brakes have been upgraded from the little NA ones.

The WRX I think might only be a WRX, not an Sti, from what I can see in the tiny photos. Looks like it has an Sti driver seat, but the inlet manifold being silver not red, suggests it's not an Sti.
Though it's pretty hard to see anything in that ad.
$18k price tag is a giggle. If it was just a WRX, and here, it's a $4k car.
