Looking for a good tequila for someone that knows his tequila. I figure price range in the "same as or a bit higher" than Patron, only I know Patron is played out so I'm not getting that. Suggestions?

Can't help you here. But if you were a man of mezcal (https://www.eater.com/spirits/2015/6/5/8734643/understanding-mezcal-and-its-amazing-ascent), I'd have tons of suggestions (https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2015/oct/31/mezcal-tour-oaxaca-mexico).

That said, I don't think you can wrong with Cuervo Reserva de la Familia (https://48xreb3gy9n71lo1k91t6q9n-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/themes/cuervo/images/cuervo_reserva_bottle.png).

Also for whites, Don Julios are pretty decent.

I guy I knew from Mexico City had a favourite he swore by. He pulled out a very special bottle at a party once. Dang, I wish I could remember what it was, but that was over ten years ago.

We have a bottle of KAH tequila (http://www.kahtequila.com/en/), it's decent sipping tequila.

Much obliged everyone. Except RWA, that is, who is very wrong.

Oh don't worry. I understand that there are different levels of quality in tequila.

But none of it is ever good if it feels like you're putting your brain on a frying pan.

There is no such thing as good tequila.

Indeed. There is only bad tequila, and GREAT tequila.

See? YW gets it.

Cuervo Reserva de la Familia went over famously. Gracias, Mario.
