This would never be something I'd be interested in, until I react this blurb:

Based on a true story, the film is the ultimate wish-fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver (https://www.avclub.com/sony-neill-blomkamp-feel-the-need-the-need-for-gran-t-1849062974)

I'd have to think at least a bit is based on Bryan, right?

Maybe, although the movie probably has a satisfying ending.

Like, what? A proper Nissan NA motorsports program?

If that's the ending they better ambient the movie in a swamp with sorcery and dragons and shit. You know, because fantasy.

There were a number of competitions and winner, so they could choose one (likely Jann last name forgotten), or have it be an amalgamation.

I would hope Bryan could at least get a cameo and invited to some of the events, though.

Jann Mardenborough.
And hopefully the movie doesnt kill any spectators in a crash.

Agreed it would be nice for a few of those Academy guys to get a cameo. Esp Bryan, assuming its a US production.

The spectator crash would be a strong second act mental hurdle to overcome.
