This popped up on YT recently - a 2008 documentary about the Can-Am race series, using all period footage. Turns out there were a lot of cameras running in 1966-73, we see a whole load of legendary names from the best era of motorsport casually hanging out in the pits and driving these 'sports cars', with big V8s and rudimentary aerodynamics, often sideways around tracks where 'safety' means a rope fence in front of the crowd.
Especially the early cars are so beautiful, and they sound like muscle cars but lap quicker than contemporary F1 machinery, and move around while doing so, just awesome.
As the saying goes, 'I saw this and thought of y'all'
