That bike looks like it weighs less than 150kg. The dude might weigh 65. So we can safely assume about 200kg for the whole set-up.

That thing is not an arthropod, it's an annelid, part of the worm family in a different phylum to where the insects are classified. Closely(ish) related to earthworms.

Protostomes differ from deuterostomes (us) primarily because their mouth develops first in the embryonic stage, while the deuterostome the anus develops first then tunnels through to develop the mouthparts.

Fun fact: we are nothing but an anus in the first few hours/days of development. That scary looking bobbit worm holds that over us.

I did a nowhere near as impressive feet-landing once when I was riding my bike past some stationary cars and a pedestrian stepped out. I pulled on the brakes too hard, back wheel went up in the air, I leapfrogged the handlebars and landed on my feet. My bike cartwheeled into the back of my legs.

Heh that's a nice stab at advertising regs.

The ad I helped make a few weeks ago (for Ladbrokes Visa - a gambling concern) featured a band of mates who went on a big bender after winning a bet on a horse race. We weren't even allowed to imply alcohol consumption because it wasn't an ad for alcohol, even though it was an ad for gambling, which is just another vice for over-18s.

I'd say all these rules are the result of relentless complaining by heartless do-gooders everywhere.

The thing I realised from the Heineken ad is that I'd never realised that in all these ads for all sorts of alcohol noone had ever been drinking it! They talk about drinking it, make it look like they're about to drink it, even show empty glasses with lacing implying that it must've been consumed, but noone ever drinks it right there on the screen.

The United States government doesn't actually limit alcohol marketing at all, or as the FCC notes, "Congress has not enacted any law prohibiting broadcast advertising of any kind of alcoholic beverage, and the FCC does not have a rule or policy regulating such advertisements."

The brewing industry's Beer Institute has its own voluntary guidelines, and they're generally OK with showing beer drinking, too: "Although beer advertising and marketing materials may show beer being consumed (where permitted by media standards), advertising and marketing materials should not depict situations where beer is being consumed rapidly, excessively, involuntarily, as part of a drinking game, or as a result of a dare."

However, several broadcast networks continue to stick to a long-expired portion of the Television Code that prohibited showing alcohol being consumed. (Thus the ad's reference to "network execs in a room somewhere.")

I've seen actual drinking on a number of TV shows but I don't recall seeing it in ads.

It should be noted that when shooting TV shows, it's common to re-shoot scenes and if they use real alcohol, they could be falling down after a few takes.

I didn't have time to read the entire document... but it looks like it's not prohibited to show "drinking" in Canada. Interestingly, on the Canadian season of Big Brother they showed consumption of alcohol, to the point of excess, often. There were at least 2 episodes where they got totally shit-faced. It was a riot. :lol:

I just received that bookbook in the mail wednesday. They're opening the first ikea within roughly 9 hours of driving a few miles from my house this week, and it's making me crazy. They're clogging up my twitter feed, its all over the local news & websites, and it's pretty much 100% going to interfere with my commute due to the highway layout.
Also, my wife is very excited - for no reason that I can comprehend. "Great, flat-pack dorm furniture!"
