Maybe need the bike to be under load? Or maybe running the rear wheel up to 200mph stationary seemed like a bad idea. Two thoughts that popped to mind. :)

Similar! This is a 1993, the museum car was from 1991, so in addition to a whatever the chassis changes were, it also had a different engine (Ford instead of Chevy) and driver (Mansell instead of Andretti).

This seems like an appropriate thread to post this in, since Chris Amon has featured here several times.

Chris has just passed away age 73.

I was lucky enough to talk to him once, as I was working as a motorsport regulator, and he rung up asking about getting a rally licence (he entered a tarmac rally here as a bit of a promo for Toyota, whom he worked with for decades here in NZ). Oh man, was I star struck.

Would have loved to talk to him about his career etc.
