4/6 That is verified by two friends of mine, who worked for the Hill team back then. Hill were the first outfit to use carbon-fibre in F1...

5/6 ...yet it was that very material which caused the accident when it failed - on the only occasion Stommelen, or a Hill, had led a GP...

6/6 A tragic end for a truly superb circuit.
