I don't even think the debates could be summarized as "not even the same league". I don't even think it's the same sport with these two.
It's going to be an all-around as-whopping, and I can't fucking wait to watch it.
Provided Trump stops making bogus excuses about why he's not happy with the schedule. (maybe he knows he's going to have his ass handed to him, and is stalling?)

I'm *really* hoping for live fact-checking during the debates, and, fingers crossed, rebuttals during them that point out inaccuracies and ask for a rebuttal.
"Mrs. Clinton, our research team believes that your assertion during the global economy discussion of xyz was slightly off because of abc, does that change your stance?"
"Mr. Trump, our research team believes that half of what you've said for the last hour is completely wrong because of abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvw, does that change your stance?"
I think a buzzer, gong, trap door would also be appropriate

There was an episode (http://freakonomics.com/tmsidk/)of the Freakonomics podcast where they did that.
Tell Me Something I Don’t Know
Tell Me Something I Don’t Know is a new live event and podcast hosted by Stephen J. Dubner, bringing together big names from business, the arts, science, academia, and entertainment. It’s equal parts game show, talk show, and brain-tease, in which audience members present an “IDK” — something that other people might not know — to a panel of celebrities and experts. The panelists will then interrogate the guest presenter (gently, of course) and help make us all a bit smarter. Think of the most crackling dinner-party conversation you’ve ever heard.
Be a guest presenter!
We are looking for guest presenters to get up on stage and present their IDKs. It might be an unheralded technological breakthrough; a new line of important research; a cultural quirk; a historical wrinkle; or perhaps just a great, unasked question. All we ask is that it’s interesting (at least to you), worth knowing (at least a little bit), and — well, true (there will be a fact-checker on hand).

“I’m a truth teller,” the Republican nominee told CNBC on Thursday. “All I do is tell the truth. And if at the end of 90 days I fall short because I’m somewhat politically [incorrect] even though I’m supposed to be the smart one and even though I’m supposed to have a lot of good ideas, it’s OK. You know, I go back to a very good way of life.”

Not that anyone needs another reason to despise Drumpf...
FOX NEWS AND TRUMP COOKED UP A HUGE LIE ABOUT HIM ‘RESCUING’ STRANDED MARINES IN THE 90S (http://winningdemocrats.com/fox-news-and-trump-cooked-up-a-huge-lie-about-him-rescuing-stranded-marines-in-the-90s/)
Republicans used to hold our military as a sacred institution. They’d lie willingly about anything, and exploit tragedy for any end, but they usually left our troops alone because they seemed to respect them. 2016 has become the year that rule is no longer valid for the party, as you’ll see below.
Hannity ran a story on his website, May 19th, 2016, about how Donald Trump rescued group of marines who came home from the gulf war only to be stranded in North Carolina, far from their homes in Miami Florida.
The real story here is that the Trump Shuttle, which was contracted out to the military, was used to take the troops from North Carolina to Florida. Trump didn’t send his personal jet. He had nothing to do with it. He wasn’t even aware that it was happening because these planes were not under his direction at the time. It would have been impossible for Trump personally to have directed the military on what to do with the planes they were essentially renting from Trump. The likelihood that the U.S. military would have even accepted Trump’s phone call is absolute zero, and the likelihood that they’d have taken orders from him personally is less than that.

More than 70 Republicans have signed an open letter urging RNC Chairman Reince Priebus to cut off funding to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and instead use the funds to finance Republican senate and house races, according to a letter obtained by CBS News.
"We believe that Donald Trump's divisiveness, recklessness, incompetence, and record-breaking unpopularity risk turning this election into a Democratic landslide, and only the immediate shift of all available RNC resources to vulnerable Senate and House races will prevent the GOP from drowning with a Trump-emblazoned anchor around its neck," a draft of the letter stated. "This should not be a difficult decision, as Donald Trump's chances of being elected president are evaporating by the day."

Republicans got scammed by Trump's creation myth (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-wealth-myth_us_57b09a63e4b007c36e4f1bff)
Yup...That's what happens when you go off of feelings instead of facts and history.
“He’s the master of the long con, pretending to be something he isn’t to scam the next victim,” Wilson said. This time, he added, the victim is the GOP itself.
For the past year, Donald Trump has been selling himself to Republican voters and party leaders as a master developer, casino mogul, airline executive and all-around brilliant businessman.
What they didn’t hear much about, though, was his single greatest talent: master self-promoter.
Now, with the general election just three months away, they are learning they may have been sold a bill of goods. That Trump was actually a so-so developer. That his casinos failed and pushed him to the edge of personal bankruptcy. That his airline was a money-losing vanity project that he eventually lost when he missed loan payments. That his business acumen, far from brilliant, is now fodder for millions of dollars’ worth of negative TV ads.
“He is, as someone said, the hobo’s idea of a billionaire,” said Rick Wilson, a Florida political consultant who is now working for independent candidate Evan McMullin. “I’ve had donors say: ‘I’m a billionaire. Trump’s a clown with a credit card.’”
“Trump is the master of creating a perception that he is successful, when he has used aggressive lawsuits and multiple bankruptcies in attempts to mask huge failures,” said Texas Republican consultant Matt Mackowiak.

I'm more and more convinced that, although we are more polarized than ever, election outcome really matters very little. From a global point of view, did the USA change that much from W to Obama? We're still the same evil empire in the eyes of the rebel jihadists.
Capitalistic W was forced into socialistically bailing out wall st. Socialistic Obama was also unable to regulate/reform wall st from screwing up again.
In the end, same difference.
With regard to Supreme Court justice..., president doesn't have the final say. Further, people can change over time... Nobody can have full control of these justices once they're in. Anyway, I trust the current process won't end up with a member of the kkk or any sort of extremist in the Supreme Court. Donald trump won't have that much pull in DC.
I just don't want to play the lesser of the 2 evils game any more...
Voting for Obama was a no brainer, I don't think I'd prefer Bernie over Obama at the time..., but after 8 years of Obama, have you seen satisfactory change? Do you really believe Hillary will do better?
No Trump won't do better, but at least the establishment will be forced to rethink their ways...
I do secretly hope for a slim Hillary victory with a sizable 3rd party votes to maximize the message to the establishment while not causing too much disruption...
The last thing I want to see is a landslide Hillary victory... Because that will mean the end of a 'revolution'... And I'm pretty sure the establishment will then become the terminal cance that'll soon destroy America and bring down the rest of the world with it...

Obamacare is certainly good in theory, but I don't think we've worked out all the kinks yet, right? Ideally, it should be so good that I'd want to give up my medical insurance at work and go with Obamacare! Universal healthcare is definitely a good ideal, but should it really be shoved down everyone's throats? Just as I think Jesus is a great ideal, but should Jesus be shoved down everyone's throats?
I really think govt should just have 2 healthcare systems, one blue and one red. Registered Republicans can only have the red option and registered democrats can only have the blue option... and the rest can have a choice between the red or blue or whatever else available. Each can work on their own system to make it better without the other side fucking with it or blocking it or repealing it...
Americans bickering at each other is at a ridiculous level and experiencing unprecedented grid locks...; however, the establishment can easily cross party lines and get the jobs done for the rich.

You don't even understand what Obamacare is, and you're criticizing it.
"Obamacare" isn't a medical insurance. It was a set of rules for medical insurance, that included minimum coverage that all plans (which are still provided by the same private companies) must have, and that said no one could be denied coverage for prior conditions if they paid the premiums, but in exchange said that all people must have coverage (so that people don't just wait until they get sick and then buy coverage).
Based on your complete inability to understand that simple premise, despite the fact that it's been highly covered in the news for years now, and yet you want to bring it up as a negative mark on how our political system works and how effective a president can be, should tell you something about yourself. You are part of the problem. You are part of the group of people that thinks nothing is being done because you don't understand what's being done even when it's being explained to you over and over again in a multitude of ways and from a multitude of angles.
Before you make any more complaints about who can or can't do what, and therefore tell people with authority what they should or shouldn't do, perhaps you should actually educate yourself more.

The problem was that you appear to insist that "Obamacare" be perfect to consider it an improvement/change.
It's that same black & white shit you always pull. It has to be perfect, or it's nothing.
The Affordable Care Act was a vast improvement for literally millions of people who could not get health insurance due to pre-existing conditions. We had a situation where people who were sick literally could not get health insurance. People who might have even had insurance when they got sick, but lost it due to losing a job or what have you. People who put thousands upon thousands of dollars into their insurance would get sick, lose their jobs because they were sick, lose the insurance they had through their job, and be either sentenced to death or a life of crushing debt. For the millions, and I want to stress this because you don't seem to get it, the MILLIONS of people this happens to, it's a massive improvement.
But you have this ridiculous standard that the solution must be perfect in all ways or it is nothing. You do this *constantly*. Nobody is criticizing you about Obamacare. Everyone is criticizing you because you seem to be completely unable to see incremental improvements as improvements, and often argue that if you can't completely fix a problem then it's not worth even attempting to fix a problem. You are the very definition of perfection being the enemy of progress.
Yet, somehow, you never see this. You never see the underlying problem. You insist on blaming the argument on the latest symptom, which is yet another symptom of the very thing we complain about.
And I'm sure you'll argue back at this post again specifically talking about Obamacare, completely missing the bigger picture. You'll say "well, there's this problem with it, am I supposed to kneel down and see it as the greatest thing that has ever happened", once again creating a false dichotomy that nobody but you believes exists. And once again, you'll absolve yourself of any rational thought and declare yourself the victor, confidently returning to derail the next rational discussion.
My goal now is to learn where this masochistic streak in me lies that makes me click on "View Post" even once, at all, on your posts. I need to learn my lesson, as I have clearly not learned it yet.

Looks like there was more to it (http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2016/08/15/rudy_giuliani_did_not_forget_9_11_to_help_trump.ht ml)than that. Seems that people took it out of context.
But while his phrasing was misleading, no, Giuliani did not rewrite history to delete the worst foreign attack on U.S. soil since the War of 1812. In fact, right before this portion of the speech, he said that “[on] Sept. 11, when we went through the worst foreign attack in our history since the War of 1812.”
He then credited Pence’s work on the Patriot Act with preventing more attacks before pivoting to his remarks about eight years without another attack. Giuliani clearly meant there wasn't an attack during the 2001–2009 period after 9/11 and not the entirety of the eight years before Obama took office. Again, this was a poorly worded, misleading statement, but Giuliani clearly did not literally mean that 9/11 didn’t happen. He doesn't need help looking like a tool. He's still a horrible person.

The country is just so polarized and on edge that people on the opposite side tend to take the words of the other side out of context and think of the worst... ignoring the whole speech while focusing on a single sentence.
How can Rudy be so forgetful? What an idiot.
But at least 21kid finally realized that it was out of context. Nevertheless, Rudy's criticism of Obama has already been refuted by Donald Trump himself during the primaries..., he'd be wise to not use that line of attack on Obama again... because 9/11 was a much worse attack and it happened on W's watch.
I'm not a Republican and don't even consider myself conservative, my conservative friends probably think that I'm too liberal..., but anyway, a slight criticism to the left, I was taken out of context too... with my full posts ignored, focusing only on a few sentences... Sigh...
For the last time, I'm critical of the Democratic Party NOT because of Obamacare... My major complaint against Obama was that he treated a somewhat religious terrorist the same way Jesus was treated. Bin Laden really shouldn't be captured and killed in the middle of the night and with a disappearing body like that. My next major complaint is the lack of financial reform to prevent another meltdown. These incidences made me believe Obama was under the influence of the "establishment"... Obama of course did not directly founded ISIS, but the establishment has for sure indirectly created these monsters, from Saddam, Bin Laden, to the current crop of terrorists. This is why Bin Laden probably couldn't be tried publically...
Anyway, you guys probably think I'm a conspiracy theorist..., maybe I am, but I'm just not going to vote for another establishment darling.
Lastly, as imperfect as Obamacare is... and as ignorant of Obamacare that I am, I do give Obama positive credit for creating that. It's not perfect, but certainly a step in the right direction.

Nice little bit of revisionist history and speaking but even that doesn't work. The PATRIOT act was passed a little over a month after 9/11.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_Los_Angeles_International_Airport_shooting
There were also islamist attacks on U.S. targets in foreign countries (I'm sure I missed a few):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_Zamboanga_City_bombings
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attacks_on_U.S._consulate_in_Karachi
https://books.google.com/books?id=bNLODP6w6GkC&pg=PA82#v=onepage&q&f=false
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2004/dec/06/saudiarabia.usa
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamabad_Marriott_Hotel_bombing
That argument also has the problem that Obama has done nothing but support the PATRIOT act. If the PATRIOT act worked, then we wouldn't be having attacks during his presidency either.
Meanwhile the PATRIOT act has been used to subvert the Bill of Rights all over the place. Basic american freedoms have been curtailed greatly. He's trying to paint Obama as soft on terrorism. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I don't think anybody think Rudi actually forgot about 9/11 or who was president. I think we all know that he's just flat out making shit up, and ignoring facts.
As someone else said, his point that he always (and others) try to make about Bush "keeping us safe" after 9/11 is like saying that a pitcher had a no-hitter after giving up 2996 runs in the first. Also, in this case, when the pitcher gave up multiple hits and runs in those 8 innings, making it an outright lie, since there were attacks between 9/11 and 2009. And then linking all that bullshit to say that only attacks happen after/because of Obama/Clinton is just the icing on the giant pile of bullshit. Fuck Rudi.

I only saw a clip version of it on youtube thru posts in this thread... and it really looked like he has forgotten about 9/11.
Anyway, like the linked article in Kid's post said, Trump himself has refuted this kind of attack on Obama and Clinton during the primaries.
I do agree with OP that Obama carried out the patriot act just like any other Republican president would. From the outside, there was really minimal difference between W and O. The 'establishment' really has no party lines. Party line is only created internally for the Americans to bicker around on the inside and not paying attention of what the 'establishment' is really doing.
Thank God for folks like Assange and Snowden, or else we'd never really know anything what the 'establishment' is doing behind our backs.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is expected to receive his first briefing from the intelligence community on Wednesday in New York, a source familiar with the plan tells NPR.
The briefing by intelligence officials will take place at FBI offices in New York, the source said. The source also said Trump is expected to bring with him New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a former federal prosecutor; and the former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. Both Christie and Flynn have been advising Trump's campaign. Flynn's office told NPR on Monday they were not aware of any meeting.
Traditionally, the Republican and Democratic nominees for president begin to receive intelligence briefings after their parties formally nominate them. While the briefings contain classified material, officials do not share the most sensitive information, such as details about covert operations and secret nuclear and other defense programs.

But why doesn’t Trump want to release his [tax returns]? Could it be because he donated a sizable amount of money to NAMBLA (North American Man and Boy Love Association) and he wants to cover it up? I’m not saying Trump donated money to NAMBLA, but people are saying that. It’s something I’ve heard, but I don’t believe Donald Trump donated several million dollars to NAMBLA over the last several years. Still, if he did that would be a great reason to not release his tax returns. But look, I’m not here to say whether or not Donald Trump donated millions to NAMBLA, I’m just here to let you know that every candidate has released his tax returns over the last 40 years, so there has to be a reason he doesn’t, and several very smart people are saying he contributed millions of dollars to NAMBLA:lol:

Trump would fail his own citizenry test (http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/16/opinions/trump-citizen-test-ghitis/index.html)
The Republican nominee is right that those coming into America should "embrace a tolerant American society." And he is correct when he argues that people "who do not believe in our constitution, or who support bigotry and hatred" should have no place in this country.
The question is, does he subscribe to these principles himself?
If immigrants should "believe in our constitution," the commander-in-chief most certainly ought to. But the evidence so far suggests that Trump only has a vague grasp of that document. And you don't have to take Democrats' word for it -- Trump's own words speak volumes.
Freedom of religion
-Trump last year proudly announced a proposal for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States."
Freedom of the press
-Trump may want immigrants to embrace American freedoms, but no political candidate in modern history has attacked the media with the viciousness of the Trump campaign. It has blacklisted major news organizations and made public attacks on the "disgusting" press and on individual reporters, at least one of whom said she was escorted out of a Trump rally by Secret Service agents to ensure her safety after the candidate had whipped up supporters into a frenzy.
The Fifth Amendment and due process
-Trump has no trouble at all with authoritarian leaders. For example, he sounded sympathetic to at least some aspects of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's leadership, admitting that he is a "bad guy," but apparently one with some redeeming traits.
"He killed terrorists. He did that so good," Trump once said. "They didn't read them the rights."
Separation of powers
-The notion that the president is not omnipotent -- and that no one is above the law -- is the most basic of principles in the American system of government. Yet Trump seems determined to use executive powers with abandon, at one point suggesting that he would make the military disobey the law because "that's what leadership is all about."
Equal rights for all
-Trump's troubling attitudes toward women, for example, are well documented. He has discussed a 10-point scale for women based on their sex appeal and has an extensive record of insulting them.
-When it comes to gay Americans, Trump has tried to have it both ways, vowing to be their protector while presiding over a Republican convention with a virulently anti-gay platform. He also chose a running mate, Mike Pence, with one of the worst records in the country when it comes to ensuring equal rights for LGBT citizens.
Still, Trump has done voters a huge favor. He has reminded America what it stands for, and provided a template for deciding which candidate is more likely to embrace these fine principles. The trouble for Trump is that he is clearly not that candidate.

I find CNN extremely funny here:
The Fifth Amendment and due process
Trump has no trouble at all with authoritarian leaders.
In Trump's America, it seems, due process is an impediment to getting things done. It's all a little too reminiscent of new Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, another populist strongman trying to make his country safe without regard for due process.
Was there proper due process for Hussein and Bin Laden or all other terrorists killed by drones, or locked up in Guantanamo?
Obviously US govt has made the determination that no due process is necessary for the terrorists and dictators... this has bipartisan support... This was US way of doing things abroad against terrorists so that we can get things done. This is the way before Trump came along.
To have sympathy for these evil people and wanting to give them fair trial is not respecting 5th amendment and due process? What?
Plus, I don't think we need Trump to tell us that Iraq for sure is now more screwed up as a nation and has more religious zealous terrorists than before our invasion. By stating such fact, doesn't mean the person must be sympathetic to an evil dictator...
US govt outside of US soil is already acting like a Donald Trump way before Donald Trump! We, or maybe I should say the 'establishment', created monsters such as Hussein and Bin Laden because of our policy of enemies or our enemies must be our friends... we train them and supply them and even installing them as dictators around the world for our own interests. When they no longer serve our interests, then we destroy them. US government/establishment has absolutely power overseas to play God, with no check and balances nor voters to keep them in check...
No we didn't directly found these terrorist groups, but they exist for sure because of our* own doing...
*By continually voting for establishment darlings, you can bet you are part of "US". I don't want to be part of that "US" anymore...and will do whatever I can to destroy that part of "US"!

Indeed. My only worry would be those who get to Congress and suddenly realise 'Holy shit I can become Rich by being a congressman or Senator! Who are you, what special interest do you represent and how much money will you give me to vote whichever way you want? Oh, and a $250k a year seat on the board once I'm done? Sweet!'.
Anyone can be corruptible, one just have to hope that these folks will last long enough to make it to congress and to make some sort of difference...
Last resort is we exercise our 2nd amendment rights and just shoot up congress and force it to reset itself.

Trump: "No problem! They're all poor, unemployed dummies, they have nothing, this'll be easy!"
Hahaha just kidding. This is what he actually said to court black voters (at a rally in a 93% white neighborhood):

Roughly, 2 of every 7 paragraphs from his thesis for becoming a lawyer are clearly plagiarised.

If the president's wife is a copy cat, I think I'm willing to give her a break..., but if a nation's leader has no integrity, then this nation is screwed.
Don't feel too bad though, US has plenty of politicians who lacks integrity... this is why USA is also in a downward spiral.
Unfortunately, integrity isn't something obvious and even if a particular politician is known to be very honest, it doesn't really help with his popularity. Most voters are sway by charisma... not integrity...
Charismatic politician who aren't very honest also are more prone to corruption...
Part of the reason why democracy isn't the most ideal way to run a country...

Horrified by Trump, Democrats getting nostalgic about Romney
When President Barack Obama ran for re-election, Democrats made no secret of their disdain for Mitt Romney. That was all before Donald Trump.
Horrified by the prospect of Trump in the White House, Obama and his party have changed their tune about Romney. As they denounce Trump as "unhinged" and unfit, they're getting nostalgic about the 2012 Republican nominee they now describe as principled, competent and honorable.
Yet as Trump is proving, everything in politics is relative.
"He was in it for the right reasons," Stephanie Cutter, Obama's 2012 deputy campaign manager, said of Romney. "He truly believed in wanting to make this country better. We just differed significantly on how to do that."
Cutter said that in 2012 Democrats had ideological clashes with Romney, but didn't doubt his temperament or basic competence. She said unlike Trump, Romney didn't "insult his way through his campaigning," malign minorities, or threaten to violate the Constitution or to abandon U.S. allies.
New York Rep. Steve Israel, one of the Democratic Party's top campaign strategists, said "Romney was qualified, but he had the wrong ideas. Trump is unqualified, dangerous and still has the wrong ideas."
And Obama's 2012 campaign press secretary, Ben LaBolt, put it this way: "I don't think anybody would have truly expected the country to go to hell in a handbasket" if Romney had won. "Trump presents an entirely different level of threat," he said.
overpowered
August 24th, 2016, 12:22 PM
It is indeed relative. I had a lot of problems with Romney but he was way better than Trump. In fact he was better than any of the GOP candidates this year except maybe Kasich and Bush, which were probably in the same general range as him. He was way better than Cruz or Carson or Fiorina or any of the other clowns.
Trump might be the worst, though Cruz, Carson, Santorum and Huckabee give him a run for his money.
Keep in mind that Trump took less than 45% of the popular vote in the primaries, and that's even with lots of candidates dropping out along the way and not being options for the later primaries.

What the heck is political 'fitness' really though? The two sides never really 'respected' each other enough to really work together.
So although they may be politically 'fit', they fight each other to the death and never get anything done.
Now, will a politically incompetent president all of a sudden get into the WH and get things done? I kinda doubt it.
The only scary part is the commander-in-chief thing..., if I were foreign nations, I'd certainly be scared of a Trump presidency. But domestically, Trump will be just as useless and any other 'fit' politician locked in a highly polarized political field.

I got a call tonight from a friend in Washington who knows more about political polling than anyone in America. He was almost breathless with excitement.
“It’s gonna be a landslide,” he said.
“In which direction?” I joked.
“Hillary’s going to win in places we haven’t won in years – Georgia, Nevada, Arizona. She’ll take the entire West, the whole East Coast. Trump is sinking like a stone.”
“So do we get the Senate back?”
“You bet.”
“Sixty votes?”
“No, but a nice majority.”
“And the House?”
“We won’t win it back, but Democrats will get 14 of the 30 they need. So still a Republican majority, but far weakened.”
“And what about the states?”
He paused. “The states?”
“Any good news there?”
“No. The GOP will remains in control in most states.”
“So the only part of government that will change hands is the U.S. Senate, and not even by enough to overcome a filibuster?”
“Yes,” he said, as if I had taken the air out of his balloon.
“And what about all the people who’ll be voting for Trump?”
“What about them?” he asked, cautiously.
“After Trump loses, they’ll still be out there, right?”
“Of course.”
“And they’ll be madder than hell, poisoned with Trump’s venom. They’ll be a ready-made constituency for the next demagogue.”
“Bob?” he asked.
“What?”
“Remind me never to phone you again.”
“Sorry,” I said.

Yeah, he did some dumb stuff in the 1940's (and 1960's for that matter). He disavowed the KKK in 1952. He apologized many times and he tried to make amends and he did some good stuff along the way too. He's hardly a KKK connection in the 2000's when that picture of him and Hillary was likely taken.

Let's put you on a schedule that involves being in a different state almost every day with public speaking engagements at every stop and see how you hold up. Seriously, don't buy into this tin foil right wing hatted bullshit.

Yep, I think I would actually prefer kaine over Hillary...

Anyway, at times when the people are not very happy, things like Hitler, Bexit, and Trump tend to have higher chances of happening.
Look on the bright side though, Hitler didn't end the world, I'm sure Trump won't either.

I do wonder, the public, well, most of them it seems, have short memories. If he keeps his message clean and on point to appeal to moderates, a great many will happily forget the things he said earlier this year and may actually consider him. I just really hope that Hilary tears him a new one and goads him into saying something truly awful at one of the debates.

I did say 'bright side', of course there's gonna be a dark side of everything... No candidate's gonna be able to please everyone...
Do you guys really believe Trump will be more 'capable' than Hitler when it comes to screwing up the world?
Even if he is really as smart and capable, I really kinda doubt us political system will make it that easy for him...
If only Bernie never bothered running and Hillary's really the best democrats can offer, then for sure she'll have my vote..., but now that I've tasted that foul taste in my mouth, I just cannot bring myself to vote for her... Sigh...

Why would he use those things though? The guy is a egotistical manipulator... by wiping out the rest of the population... nobody would be able to stroke his ego and he'll have nobody to manipulate with!
Having access to US military would be more of a concern though. Even without congressional support, US presidents did establish precedents of starting their own little wars...
US military used to support Trump more than Clinton, but has recently shifted their support to Gary Johnson! So hopefully our soldiers won't be so dumb as to blindly obey every unconstitutional order from President Trump...

So you really think Trump will be able to trump Hitler? Create concentrations camps for all Mexicans and all Muslims and maybe even asians... so that he can create a new Trumpian race?
I really doubt that's achievable even if that's what he's planning... actually, I really think he's just BSing and saying shit that people wants to hear.
I'm really not sad or scare about Trump himself... I'm more sad and scare of him having that much popular support.
What does this mean? That we have a lot of racist, bigoted Americans? Yeah, maybe, but I think this is primarily rooted by the reality that a lot of Americans are suffering... that's why they're angry!
Trump is simply feeding on their anger.
Democrats on the other hand insists that all is well and we should keep status quo and pretend Bernie doesn't exist.
Anyway, I'm not voting Hillary to punish the Democratic Party.
I almost wanted to vote for Trump in order to punish the Republican Party..., but enemy of my enemy still shouldn't be my friend...
Future of America won't be very bright either way, but I will be able to find the bright side should one of them win out...
Should this kind of crap continues, it's only a matter of time we'll have a 3rd party president.

 just kidding. I don't care.
Of many oddities last night in Donald Trump’s handling of questions over how he’d function as commander-in-chief, during NBC’s “Commander-in-Chief Forum” last night, 4 stand out:
1. Instead of explaining his previous comment that he knew more about the Islamic State than America's generals, he instead disparaged those generals by saying they'd been "reduced to rubble." Then he suggested his plan to defeat the Islamic State — long something he said was a secret — would instead be formulated with help from top generals. Then he casually indicated he might just fire most of the generals anyway.
2. Trump returned to the old idea that America should have taken Iraq's oil after ousting Saddam Hussein, in violation of international law. He once suggested this should have happened to provide revenue to wounded soldiers; now he argues it would have blocked the rise of the Islamic State (or ISIS, as he calls the group). He also said he had always been against the Iraq War, when in fact he’s on record in the past as supporting it.
3. He said he’d have “different generals” heading the military. But under law, a president can’t summarily fire generals. During a debate in March, Trump was asked what he would do if the military refused to carry out his orders to commit acts of torture or target civilians. "They won't refuse," Trump replied. "They're not going to refuse me. Believe me."
4. Trump said that Russian president Vladimir Putin has "been a leader far more than our president has been." Hello? Putin -- who has squelched dissent in Russia and taken over parts of Crimea is more of a leader than President Obama? Apparently, to Trump, "leadership" means dictatorial control.
At a forum specifically designed to probe how Trump would function as command-in-chief, he displayed complete ignorance of his authority as commander-in-chief, as well as of democracy.

Anyway, I'm only concerned that Trump will bully other nations/groups. Having nuclear weapons is good at bullying those who don't have it..., but you can't actually use it! Just as school bullies are only picking on others kids so that they do what the bully wants... Bullies don't really actually want to kill other kids to get into bigger trouble! I just don't think Trump is that mentally foqued up. I guess at least the nations that have Trump towers probably won't be nuked?
Whatever, it is kinda odd that US military are now giving Obama super low ratings... Hillary's also not polling better than Trump. Wonder if we just have stupid, racist, bigoted military or do they know something else we don't.

Why should average American even care about Aleppo? If doing something for that city is part of the job, president Obama would fail miserably.
