Tsg, jag v12? Are you trying to keep the thing parked?

Ford V10 in it. The Studebaker Lark is screaming my name. That thing is sooooooo cool.

Ah yes, where old American cars go on to long and strange second lives when they're too used up for the auction circuit.

    -------

Last week's TR-8 dropped off CL and was never heard from again.

Soon the LeMans will be offered.

    This week's selection:

More or less exactly the car I'm looking for at the moment - but awfully pricey for something that's got evident rust issues, among other things.

Those wheels look like some sort of brain teaser puzzle. I feel like they're challenging me to figure out how to get them off the car without removing the lugnuts or something.

Pretty much my favorite thing ever, a Maxton Rollerskate. 1800 lbs, 13B. This one's been ported and makes about 200 hp.

No doubt! And no place better to own something like that than SoCal.

Time for a Studebaker Lark grudge match!

In this corner, we have the reigning champion:

NOT running. told it needs distributor cap. flat 6 cylinder engine + manual transmission.
NO title just bill of sale. Has keys. Was a donation I got two years ago.
Unique straight clean project for the Studebaker enthusiast.
PRICE JUST LOWERED TO NOW only $1,959."

So, we have a 6-cylinder, 3-on-the-tree that doesn't run and the guy it for free but it now trying to get $2K for it on CL and isn't bright enough not to mention the ultimate negotiation point: his cost is zero.

I think we can all agree it looks great.

And in this corner, we have a strong contender for the title of Most Wanted Lark on the GTXF:

    1961 Studebaker Lark V8 3spd +o/d and Positraction - $1750

"Regretfully I must sell my 1961 Studebaker Lark Cruiser it has it original 259 Studebaker v8 2 barrel carburetor. And 3 speed column shift manual transmission with over drive. And twin traction/posi traction rear end. It's surprisingly fast for 1961 it could do 0-60 in 9.5 seconds making it the fastest economy car in the early 60's and faster than most full size American cars of the time. The car currently runs and drives. It could use a tune up and tires soon. It has a new clutch and rebuilt column shifter and new tail light lens. I don't want to sell this car but I have to many other project cars that are on the table ahead of this one and don't want to see it neglected. needs a loving home. clean Colorado title"

    Whoomah, indeed!

I think I prefer the six, but 4 doors trumps all... and boasting the "fastest economy car" title is nothing to sneeze at. My vote is firmly for the green meanie. Plus, it can be called the green meanie.
