Do you have laws regarding payroll errors?
Down here, if you spend it you have to pay it back, but the law states that it must be in installments no larger than 10% of your paycheck.
I'm hoping yours takes years at that rate.

it appears the law differs by state. Florida it seems they can just take it back whenever. I had a similar issue at one of my old employers where over a couple of Christmas periods over the years, the payroll team would pay Christmas pay early, then take it back out again

It took 4 days and 5 different higher ups but finally I got my answer....the bonus is LEGIT and I'm super happy![]()
Damn, nice! I hope they take the lesson as well that maybe they need to communicate things better as well.

I'm starting a job on Monday as a studio assistant for a successful local artist. Their preferred medium is glass/neon. Should be interesting.
I went on a tour of the mortuary today with some people from my department. It’s cool down there. Like literally, it’s 20°C.
Seeing the work areas where they perform autopsies is pretty eye opening though.
As are the storage racks in the giant fridge. Especially the infant-sized cots
Not a job I’d do for a billion dollars… I’m quite happy upstairs in the Pathology Lab.
