As everybody should! Next time you're in NYC, stop by the MoMA. Right at the top of the escalator to the first floor of the Architecture & Design Hall... and there she be. A 641/2 that Alain drove. :cool: It was added I think around 1994-95 and my then girlfriend happened to be an amateur sculptor and when I said we're taking a trip to the Museum of Modern Art she was thrilled! Little did she know my true motivation.;) Well she found out soon enough. :lol:

When I worked for the Motorsport governing body, I actually got to talk to Chris Amon. He rung up and we had a chat about what he'd need to get a rally licence (he did a drive in a Tarmac rally here a few years ago).

Thoroughly nice bloke to talk to, and I spent the entire phone call trying not to go into hero worship mode.

He actually worked with Toyota in NZ through the 80's to tune their car suspension range to work well on NZ roads, so you can actually buy "Amon" Toyota Corona's in NZ (well, if you can find one that hasn't totally rusted out)

@LuijtRB It certainly made it unstable to the extent that Miles refused to drive it like that. A failed brake shaft caused Rindt’s accident.
